Ira udell, MD

Dr. Udell is Chairman Emeritus of Long Island Jewish and North Shore University Hospital, and Professor of Ophthalmology at the Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell. He attended Tulane University School of Medicine, completed an ophthalmology residency at Long Island Jewish Medical Center, and served two years as a cornea fellow at Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary, Harvard Medical School. He joined the faculty at LIJ and served for 25 years as Chairman of the Departments of Ophthalmology at Long Island Jewish and North Shore University Hospital until December 2017.
